Crawford, Colorado
Established in the late 1800's, the town of Crawford maintains all of its original rustic western charm and the county continues to focus on high country ranching.
Crawford offers many scenic parks to enjoy such as the North Rim of the Black Canyon National Park, the Crawford State Park, Gunnison National Park, Needlerock and more.
In town there are restaurants, a country store, a motel, B&B's, and other guest housing. There is a Glass Blowing Studio and art program. There are festivals and art events to bring the community together in an already close knit town of 350 residents or so.
Out of town there beautiful byways to see the fall colors, the Crawford State Park Reservoir to go swimming, fishing and boating in and quaint farms and active ranches to view. Few towns, even in the North Fork region, are as quiet and peaceful as Crawford.
