Olathe, Colorado
Known for its sweet corn and sweet corn festival, Olathe is a splendid small town with plenty of rural farms and ranches and agriculture is its main focus.
A town of approximately 2000 residents, Olathe has some of the most fertile land around. Not only does the "sweet corn" have a great reputation for never disappointing one's taste buds, but the onions, pinto beans, lettuce, broccoli, apples, cherries and peaches are also some of the best around.
Olathe is located approximately 10 miles north of Montrose and 10 miles south of Delta. There is a quaint downtown area and a few restaurants and stores within the city limits. Most of the serious shopping is done in either Montrose or Delta due to their larger chair stores and greater variety of businesses.
